I work on speech and language technology, with a focus on what the voice can tell us about health and on keeping AI systems that listen to people safe. I combine academic research with building systems that run in production.
- NowExternal advisor, Balidea: agentic AI systems for the Galician Health Service (SERGAS).
- IndustryBahía Software: delivered the voice classifier for the COPERIA screening platform.
- 2021 – 2022Galician language representative in European Language Equality (ELE), the EU-funded project of 52 partners that set the roadmap to digital language equality in Europe by 2030 for the European Commission. Author of the Language Report for Galician.
- 2020 – nowPhD candidate, Multimedia Technologies Group (GTM), atlanTTic Research Center, Universidade de Vigo. PhD Programme in Information and Communications Technology. Voice biomarkers for respiratory and mental health; the VisIA project on suicide-risk detection.
